Granucol products are made of activated carbon pellets of plant origin. The carbon pellets undergo a special production process that ensures high adsorbency properties and easy dissolution before use.
Granucol GE: for adsorption of undesired off-taste and off-smell in beer, juice, wine and spirits
Granucol FA: for reduction of tannins and polyphenols and for the elimination of high-colour due to browning reactions. It can be used on wine, juice and spirits.
Granucol BI: for reduction of tannins and polyphenols and the decolourisation of beer and high colour wines.
Dosage
Granucol GEWine: 10-100 g/hLJuice: 10-100 g/hLBeer: 10-30 g/hLSpirits: 50-100 g/hLGranucol FAWine: 10-30 g/hLJuice: 10-100 g/hLSpirits: 50-100 g/hLGranucol BIWine: 10-50 g/hLBeer: 200-400 g/hLPlease note that bench trials are recommended to determine the exact dose of activated carbon required.
Usage Granucol shall be dissolved before use. The dosage of Granucol can be during a precoat filtration or in advance of a fining.
Spirits shall be treated in drinking strength (up to 55% by volume). Bench trials are recommended.
Storage Activated carbon is very sensitive to odour and moisture. Granucol must be protected from moisture and foreign odours. Reseal opened packagings immediately tightly.
Special yeast for the fermentation of colour stable and clean red wines. The reduced beta-glycosidase activity will retain a maximum of antocyanes. Quick fermentation start
Fumaric acid inhibits bacteria. Permeation through the lactic acid bacteria cell membrane reduces the intracellular pH in the cytoplasm
